Pokémon GO Battle League Season (March 2024): Start, End Dates, Leagues & Rewards

Each GO Battle League sees new and returning leagues and cups, with a handful of seasonal cups occurring this season. For the Season of Timeless Travels, Trainers can expect new battling encounters, more rewards, and Shiny Pokémon to catch throughout this season to keep their battling wits tested during the Holiday Season.

Speaking of rewards, another new crossover is scheduled for the season this time with cosmetics inspired by a character from Pokémon Sun and Moon. Keep reading as we look at the upcoming competitive season, including dates, league schedule, rewards, and more for Pokémon GO's Battle League.

Pokémon GO Battle League (March 2024): Start & End Dates

• Season 18 Start Date: 1st March 2024
• Season 18 End Date: 31st May 2024

Season 18 of the Pokémon GO Battle League starts on 1st March 2024 at 1 pm PT  / 4 pm ET / 9 pm BST  and ends on 31st May 2024 when the season concludes in-game. Following this date, end-of-season rewards be handed out, and your GO Battle League season rank will be reset; however, your rank-up requirement will remain the same for the new season.

Pokémon GO Battle League (March 2024): League Schedule

With the new season ushering a wave of changes to Pokémon GO, the GO Battle League will see a refresh on various leagues, which can be found in-game from the GO Battle League hub page. This will include the seasonal Sunshine Cup and the Halloween Cup to celebrate the incoming spooky season.

• 1st - 8th March 2024: Great League and Electric Cup: Great League Edition
• 8th - 15th March 2024: Ultra League and Spring Cup: Great League Edition
• 15th - 22nd March 2024: Master League* and Spring Cup: Great League Edition**

Pokémon GO Battle League (March 2024): Rewards

Throughout the GO Battle League season, you can gain experience for every five matches played and whether you've won or lost the matches. All Trainers begin at Level 5 and must progress through the league until Level 20, which will unlock various Pokémon you earn encounters with.

Guaranteed Rank-Up Encounters

• Level 1: Primeape
• Level 6: Poliwrath
• Ace Rank (2,000 Rating): Deino*
• Veteran Rank (2,500 Rating): Goomy*
• Expert Rank (2,750 Rating): Jangmo-o
• Legend Rank (3,000 Rating): Pikachu Libre*

Standard Encounters

• Level 1: Gligar*, Grubbin*, Machop*, Marill*, and Skwovet
• Level 6: Carbink* and Frillish*

Pokémon GO Battle League (March 2024): Ranks

Once you've ranked up, you can still encounter other Pokémon featured in the Rank-up and standard GO Battle League encounters. After achieving Level 19, you can also receive an Elite Fast TM and an Elite Charged TM as additional Avatar rewards, inspired by the kahuna of Melemele Island, Hala, from the Pokémon Sun and Moon games for the season listed below:

Pokémon GO Battle League (March 2024): Battle Day Events

Niantic has confirmed a new GO Battle Weekend event for the World of Wonders season, which the GO Battle Weekend will take place between 4th and 5th May 2024. During this hard-fought event, Trainers earned quadruple Stardust as win rewards, which excluded end-of-set rewards, with a free Timed Research to complete and claim the Hala-Style Hat Avatar item

Trainers will see their max number of sets increased from five to 20 daily, totaling 100 battles between the aforementioned hours and a free Timed Research will be exclusively available for this GO Battle Day event. Lastly, the Master League and Evolution Cup: Great League Edition are the leagues that are active during this GO Battle Day event which Trainers will get their quadruple Stardust win rewards.
