In early 2023, it was announced that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would get their own DLC much like Pokemon Sword and Shield did. It took quite some time but The Teal Mask is now available for everyone to try out. In this new DLC, new Pokemon such as Dipplin is now available for players to catch for the very first time.
On top of new Pokemon like Dipplin, there are also many Pokemon who are returning including Scarlet and Violet. For example, Aipom has made its return to Scarlet and Violet. Not only Aipom, but other Pokemon like Chandelure have returned as well. Some will need to meet some special conditions for certain evolutions so with that in mind, here, we will teach players how to evolve Lampent into a Chandelure in Scarlet and Violet.
How To Evolve Lampent In The Teal Mask DLC For Scarlet And Violet
The Chandelure line of Pokemon has been around since Generation 5 of the series. When Scarlet and Violet first launched, Chandelure and its pre-evolutions were not available to catch. Now thanks to The Teal Mask DLC, players can now get these Pokemon. Getting Litwick and Lampent is pretty simple, but getting Chandelure is a bit more difficult.
The easiest way to get Chandelure is to evolve a Lampent. To do so, use a Dusk Stone on a Lampent to evolve it into a Chandelure. It is a rather simple process. Players can find Dusk Stones in a few locations. The newest location is in the Timeless Woods area in Kitakami. They can also be purchased in Porto Marinada or found in Area Zero as well.
How To Catch Chandelure In The Teal Mask In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet
One of the key factors that differentiates Pokemon Scarlet and Violet from other Pokemon games is how it is much easier to catch the final evolutions of Pokemon. Pokemon like Chandelure would normally be unavailable to catch but that is not the case in Scarlet and Violet. So yes, it is completely possible to find and catch Chandelure.
However, there is a bit of a restriction that is in place. Players can only catch Chandelure through a 5-Stare Tera Raid Battle. Chandelure does not appear in the overworld of either map in Scarlet and Violet. So it is important for players to pay attention to what Tera Raids are available if they are interested in catching themselves a Chandelure.
