The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet adds plenty of brand-new Pokémon and Pokémon evolutions into the game. While trainers are already hard at work exploring brand-new areas and battling powerful trainers, completionists will also want to round out their Pokédex.

The mythical Pokémon for this round of DLC is Pecharunt, a Ghost and Poison-type Mythical Pokémon with the same typing as fan-favorite Gengar. How To Get Pecharunt In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk DLC

At the time of writing this, Pecharunt is not available in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet in any form. Players only know of this Pokémon's existence thanks to data miners scrawling through the newly released DLC data files. 

Data miners have uncovered and managed to release footage of Pecharunt in action, where we can see it is very small and has the signature move Malignant Chain.

Pecharunt is Generation 9's new Mythical Pokémon.

While currently unobtainable, the latest update for Scarlet & Violet included an in-game event leading to an encounter with it, like back in Generation 4.

Data Miners have discovered that later down the line, an in-game event will allow trainers to travel to a certain location, leading to an encounter with Pecharunt, in a similar way to how other Pokémon like Shaymin and Darkrai were handled in Generation IV. 

There is currently no news as to when this event will be released, what the new location will be like, or how the encounter with Pecharunt will play out. However, if the encounter plays out like previous ones, trainers can expect to start a battle with this new Mythical Pokémon as they try to catch it. Should this be the case, make sure to stock up on Pokéballs before you start the event, as there is no way of knowing if you'll be able to exit the area without completing the battle.
