Where To Find Rotom In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet

One of the first things that you will receive when you play Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is a Rotom Phone. This Rotom Phone will serve as your Pokedex, a menu to check out your Pokemon, where you save, and so much more.

However, you cannot use the Rotom Phone to battle. If you want to battle with a Rotom, you will need to catch one for yourself. Luckily, it is not too difficult to catch your own Rotom to use for battle.

The first thing that you will want to do is head to either East Province Area 2 or West Province Area 2. Go to the areas that are near the city as Rotom tends to appear near city borders. One of the best spawn locations for Rotom is to go near the lighthouses. Rotom tends to spawn near lighthouses.

Rotom is a bit rare so you might have to go in and out of the area to reset the current spawns. Once you find one, you can catch it like any other Pokemon. Just be aware that Rotom is weak in the wild being only around level 20, so it is very easy to knock out by accident. Just throw Pokeballs at it and you should be able to catch it quickly no problem.

As we have said earlier, Rotom is a bit of a rare spawn. It is not so rare that you will never see it but it is possible to pass through these areas and miss it.

One of the best ways to increase your chances to find more Rotom is through Meal Powers. Meal Powers are essentially food buffs that help makes various chores easier in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

All you need to do is buy or make a meal that increases the encounter rate for either Ghost Pokemon or Electric Pokemon. Once you do that, Rotom should appear much more frequently for you.
