How to evolve Burmy in Pokémon Legends Arceus

Burmy has a couple of different evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and you’ll need to catch multiple of them to achieve these evolutions.

Burmy can be one of the most difficult Pokémon to catch in all of Hisui. While its locations are found very early on, the chances to catch the Bug-type Pokémon are few and far between for many players. To make matters worse in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Burmy actually needs to be caught twice in order to fully fill up your Pokédex.

This is because Burmy’s two evolutions require a different gender. So in order to get both of the evolutions, you need to capture two Burmy, one male and one female. This can be quite the tall task, as any gender Burmy is hard to come by and catch. However, the fun doesn’t even stop there, as then you have to evolve both of the Burmy, which can be done by reaching a certain level.

To find out what that level is and what each gender Burmy evolves into, keep reading below.

For starters, you need to know about Burmy’s different forms. It has a plant-cloaked, sandy-cloaked and trash-cloaked form that changes the type of Pokémon it evolves it. Burmy has its standard form, which evolves into Mothim, a Bug and Flying-type if it is a male. Different female Burmy will evolve into Wormadam but with the specific form that they were caught in as a Burmy.

The plant-cloaked Burmy evolves into the green flowered Wormadam, which is Bug and Grass-type. The sand-cloaked Burmy evolves into the tan Wormadam, a Bug and Ground-type. And the trash-cloaked Burmy evolves into the pink Wormadam, a Bug and Steel-type.

Regardless of what Burmy gender and form you catch, you will need to reach level 20 with it to evolve in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This isn’t too hard to reach in the early game of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, making Burmy’s evolutions a great way to earn Star Points to proceed to the next region of Hisui. The only issue you will have is finding the right gender and forms to fill out your Pokédex.

That’s all you need to know about evolving Burmy into either Mothim or Wormadam in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
