To find this leader, players must defeat Team Rocket Grunts at PokéStops and piece together a Rocket Radar. This radar will allow you to find and challenge Arlo, Sierra, or Cliff, the leaders of Team Rocket. It’s randomly generated which leader appears for you to battle.
Best Counters for Arlo’s Pokémon Lineup
For defeating Arlo, players will receive 1000 Stardust as well as two random items out of a 12km egg, one Revive, one Max Revive, one Max Potion, One Unova Stone, or one Sinnoh Stone. Here are the best counters when you find Arlo.
Arlo has a few different Pokémon for his lineup. The second and third slots in his lineup are random between three different Pokémon.
- 1st Pokémon: Exeggcute
- 2nd Pokémon: Salamence, Alolan Exeggutor, or Dragonite
- 3rd Pokémon: Gardevoir, Steelix, or Scizor
The counters for each of Arlo’s Pokemon are suggestions to help give you the best results for your battle against the leader.

- Glaceon - Ice Shard (Fast) and Avalanche (Charged)
- Mewtwo - Psycho Cut (Fast) and Psystrike (Charged)
