Pokémon GO Luminous Legends X: Featured Pokémon, raids, rewards and more

During the last few weeks, the Pokémon GO community has enjoyed a huge number of events as part of the Season of Legends theme with many species and especially Legendary Pokémon, making their debut in the Niantic game.

After having been focused during March and April with the Unova's Cloud Trio, it is time to change the course towards the Kalos region, where a Legendary Pokémon from the Nintendo 3DS game, Pokémon X, will make its arrival in a fantastic way to Pokémon GO.

Xerneas, the Life Pokémon, will make its Pokémon GO debut as the featured Pokémon of this event. Xerneas is a Pokémon that has existed among the tales of the Kalos people for generations, where they say it can share eternal life. In the Pokémon X story, it slept for a thousand years in the form of a tree before its revival.

Along with it, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Goomy will also make their debuts, appearing more frequently in the wild alongside other Dragon- and Fairy-type Pokémon like:

  • Dratini
  • Ralts
  • Bagon
  • Cottonee

And if you are extremely lucky, you might even find a Shiny Goomy in the wild. Moving onto the eggs, the following Pokémon will be hatching from 7 km Eggs during the whole event:

  • Cleffa
  • Igglybuff
  • Azurill
  • Gible
  • Swirlix
  • Spritzee

A new type of Module will also be introduced with the start of the event, the Rainy Lure Modules. This will attract certain Pokémon that like rain, such as Water-, Bug-, and Electric-type Pokémon whenever you’re near a PokéStop with an active Rainy Lure Module.

Also, when you are close to these, you can evolve Sliggoo (the Evolution of Goomy) into Goodra. You can also evolve Sliggoo when the in-game weather is rainy.

Luminous Legends X: Raids and Quests

Among the featured Raids, many Psychic-, Dragon- and Fairy-type Pokémon like Galarian Ponyta and Alolan Exeggutor will be appearing around the map. All these thanks to their relation with the Life Pokémon and its story around Kalos.

As always, an event-exclusive Timed Research will be available for free, where you can encounter Fairy-type Pokémon, including Spritzee and Swirlix, as well as receive a Rainy Lure Module as part of its rewards.

Also, the event-exclusive Field Research tasks will lead to encounters with Psychic-, Dragon- and Fairy-type Pokémon, including Galarian Ponyta, Gible, Spritzee, and Swirlix, while some brand new AR Mapping tasks will lead to encounters with Galarian Ponyta.

Luminous Legends X: Bonus event

From 4th May, 2021, at 10 am to 11th May, 2021, at 8 pm local time, you and other Trainers worldwide can work together to catch 500 million Fairy-type Pokémon in total. If the goal is met, players will activate the following bonuses:

  • A 3× Catch XP bonus will be active for the rest of the event.
  • Pancham, the Playful Pokémon, will make its Pokémon GO debut appearing in raids for the rest of the event.
  • If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Galarian Ponyta. Shiny Galarian Ponyta will continue to be available after the event.

These special bonuses will be available from 11th May, 2021, at 10 am to 17th May, 2021, at 8 pm local time.

Finally, if you evolve a Dragonair or use a Charged TM on a Dragonite, you will have the chance to teach it Draco Meteor, while if you evolve a Shelgon or use a Charged TM on a Salamence, you can teach it Outrage during the event period.

The Luminous Legends X event will be active from 7th May, 2021, at 10 am to 17th May, 2021, at 8 pm local time. A new event focused on Xerneas’ counterpart, Yveltal, will be announced a few days before this event ends.
