Pokémon GO developer Niantic has confirmed the next Community Day event for the Season of Light update this September. The Rock-type Mantle Pokémon Roggenrola and its evolution will feature through the event as Trainers can encounter them in the wild and through Raids.

Likewise, there are several Event Bonuses to capitalize on, and new event-exclusive items are being made available via the in-game shop. We've detailed everything about the Roggenrola Community Day event, including its event schedule, featured Pokémon, and more.

Pokémon GO Roggenrola Community Day – Event Schedule

The next Pokémon GO Community Day, headlined by Roggenrola, will be held on 18th September 2022. The event will be live for Trainers for three hours, between 2 pm and 5 pm local time, in which the Rock-type Mantle Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.

Pokémon GO Roggenrola Community Day – Featured Pokémon

As mentioned above, Roggenrola is the featured Pokémon for this Community Day event, where they’ll have access to some fantastic features. Firstly, if they evolve Boldore to Gigalith, they can utilize the latter Pokémon’s Charged Attack, Meteor Beam, during the event or five hours afterward.

Additionally, there’s an exclusive Community Day Special Research story, Rock ‘n’ Roll, available for the event. They can acquire this using real-world money equivalent to $1,00 to purchase a ticket to access it and complete all the assigned tasks for a chance to obtain a Mythical Pokémon.

In addition to Roggenrola spawning in the wild for this event, once it concludes, a Special Bonus Raid Battle will begin on 18th September 2022 between 5 pm and 10 pm local time. During this special Raid event, Roggenrola’s evolved form, Boldore, will feature in a four-star Raid which they can use either a Raid Pass or Premium Battle Pass to participate.

Once they’ve completed this special Raid Battle, Roggenrola will spawn within a 300-meter radius from a Gym that hosted the Raid for a half hour. For both Wild Encounter and this Raid Battle bonus, there may be a chance a Shiny Roggenrola will appear in the wild.

They can get their hands on unique event bonuses for this Community Day event, including Roggenrola-themed Stickers. These collectibles can be acquired when spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and buying them from the shop.

While some of these event bonuses are available for the Community Day event only, other bonuses are available on the dates mentioned above, from 2 pm to 10 pm local time. Below, we’ve listed the event bonuses they can earn for the Roggenrola Community Day:

  • 1/4 Hatch distance when incubating Eggs during the event
  • Double the chance to earn Candy XL from catching Pokémon for Trainers Level 31 and higher
  • Double Candy when catching Pokémon
  • Lure Modules and Incense will be activated for the event and be available for three hours
  • An additional Special Trade will be allowed for a maximum of two for this specific day
  • 50% less Stardust is required when making Trades
  • Take a couple of pictures during the Community Day event for a surprise
