Best Ready Or Not Mods for Maps, Weapons and Zombies
Void Interactive

Ready or Not has become a paradise for modding over the last few months, with players recreating new weapons, maps, cosmetics, and ideas to be implemented into the game. Beyond this, Void Interactive has been incredibly supportive of modders revitalizing the game, porting their in-game modding hub for fans and players to experience and enjoy, making the modding process more practical and accessible.

However, players can still plug mods from third-party websites, sometimes offering more complex and intricate mods to further develop your Ready or Not experience. For those who don't know how to mod Ready or Not, check out our guide. Mods within Ready or Not allow players to entertain themselves while waiting for new content, preventing the boredom that naturally comes with stagnant gameplay, and here are five of the best.

Supermarket Map

The Supermarket map within Ready or Not provides an ultra-realistic experience within the game, providing players with an experience relevant to police training. Within this map, players are faced with several armed enemies within a supermarket and are tasked with occupying and liberating the supermarket from terrorist hands. Playing alongside you is your team, helping you clear the way, eliminate threats, and secure hostages.

The description of the map is as follows: "Attention officers. Ten minutes ago, we received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at the Park Holmes Supermarket. Police who responded were met with fierce resistance and were forced to back off. The suspects appear to have barricaded themselves inside the store and have taken hostages. It's up to you to rescue the civilians and arrest the suspects if possible. Intelligence indicates three entrances: the front doors, the service entrance, and a side door. There are expected to be at least five suspects carrying guns. Defuse the situation before any innocents are hurt."

The supermarket provides a very interesting layout. Most maps on Ready or Not aren't as open as this supermarket, so players will find themselves weaving in and out of isles, dodging bullets, and attempting to remain within the minimal cover that's provided. Overall, this map provides an excellent experience and is highly regarded by the Ready or Not community.

AK-15 Weapon Replacer

Using an AK model within Ready or Not is slightly unrealistic due to the title not being based in Eastern Europe; however, there isn't a single FPS title where players reject the idea of being able to use an AK model - older or newer variants are always accepted. Ready or Not does have the standard AK within the game that does get used, but it doesn't give the feel this AK-15 overhaul provides.

The overall aesthetic and professionalism of the AK-15 weapon replacer mod allow players to fully immerse themselves in the title. A classic and generic AK doesn't quite fit alongside the premise of the title unless within the hands of the enemy. Therefore, this mod is borderline essential to those feeling slightly off-put by the use of the original AK. Please find the link to the mod: here.

Gunfighter Gameplay Improvement

The Gunfighter Gameplay Improvement mod provides substantial upgrades to the combat system within Ready or Not. Ultimately, it comes down to preference and immersion. If you are aware of the realism involved in using firearms, perhaps this modification is for you. However, the mod comes across as a little "die-hard," with upgrades changing the slight functionality of the game for an overall better combat experience.

For example, here are a few of the upgrades:

  • The buff of all grips and suppressors are changed to almost the same (Almost all guns)
  • After shooting, most of the weapons will fall back to center a little
  • Added Old M4A1 ,M24 and STI2011
  • Now walking speed is about 130% of the vanilla
  • Slightly adjusted the Armor FOR the suspect

Overall the mod serves its purpose quite well and has a lot of praise from the community. Overall, Ready or Not prides itself on realism and the experiences the game provides, so modifying the functions to be even more realistic might make some more happy fans. To download the mod, click here.

Zombies

With over 50,000 downloads, Ready or Nots hit zombie mod named "Zombie or Not" has been enjoyed by plenty of fans around the world. Ultimately, this mod acts as a little bit of fun and adds a difference to the typical Ready or Not experience. Nothing beats playing a game of zombies with friends, especially on the ultra-realistic FPS title Ready or Not. There really isn't much else to say about the hit zombie mod except it's fun.

The mod doesn't add any direct purpose to the title other than add a casual alternative to the typical high-stress situations players experience within the game. The zombie mod essentially turns all enemies and players into zombies, with them running toward you and attacking you. To kill them, shoot them in the head, and continue progressing through the map until all is clear! Here's the link to the mod.

Storage House

Fight your way through an incredibly claustrophobic warehouse and tight alleyways within a warehouse, moving through the location at a slow pace to ensure complete safety. This downloadable mod provides an extremely tense map that's worthy of being posted on the main title. The map has been well-designed and thought-through. Currently, the mod holds over one-hundred-thousand downloads with much praise, proving quite the experience.

The map also includes realistic features, such as the shelves being destroyed, heavy map "damage" caused within the warehouse, and realistic AI responses. This shows character and storytelling within the map despite it only being a mod; rather impressive. The map has been designed to have random NPC spawns, meaning no two replays will be the same due to the different locations, reactions, and positions of the NPCs. This allows players to train themselves to improve at Ready or Not combat situations and not damage their in-game campaign stats. To download this mod, click this link.

Please note: All mods are also available through the game's in-game build mod page.
