In Remnant 2, the Archetype system has been completely overhauled. Archetypes are basically different classes that offer favors different playstyles. Every Archetype in Remnant 2 also wields unique weapon types, skills, perks, and trait. There are four Archetypes in Remnant 2. While you start off with one, you can unlock and switch to other Archetypes later in the game. This guide covers gives an overview of all the Archetypes in Remnant 2.

All Archetypes in Remnant 2 

As mentioned previously, there are four Archetypes in Remnant 2. These are Challenger, Gunslinger, Medic, and Handler. Read on for more information about each.

Challenger Archetype in Remnant 2

The Challenger is the tanky high DPS Archetype in Remnant 2 that also wields a two-handed sword. They also boast a ton of armor and are best suited for players who like to get in the face of enemies. One of the perks, Die Hard, allows the Challenger to become invulnerable for five seconds after receiving fatal damage and regenerate full health in the process.

Gunslinger Archetype in Remnant 2

The Gunslinger is the weapon expert Archetype in Remnant 2 that specializes in swiftly handling, reloading, and swapping weapons to maximize the damage dealt from a short to mid-range. One of the perks, Loaded, allows the Gunslinger to instantly reload both their weapons and gain infinite ammo reserve for 15 seconds, every time they activate a skill.

Handler Archetype in Remnant 2

The Handler is the best-of-both-worlds Archetype that also has a dog companion that follows them everywhere. It's perfect for solo players who want to let their loyal companion take center stage while they chuck away the enemy's health from a distance. In co-op, the Handler can boost movement and revive speed for all the party members. The player can also command their companion to revive or guard other party members in the heat of the moment. One of their perks, Bonded, allows the companion to revive the player with 50% health. This perk can also be used to revive other party members in the game.

Medic Archetype in Remnant 2

The Medic is the support Archetype in Remnant 2 that focuses on healing allies and their companions. Its utility-based skills make it a perfect party class but something that isn't suited for solo play. Its Prime Perk, Regenerator, allows players to regain a Relic Charge upon restoring 250 health to allies.
