If you’re running around Dead Rails wondering how players are healing up, setting the map on fire, or raising an army of undead corpses—chances are, they’ve been busy brewing potions. These concoctions might look simple, but with the right ingredients, they can turn the tide of any mission.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to get potions in Dead Rails, where to find ingredients, and exactly what each potion does. Whether you’re after heals, fire damage, or full-blown necromancy, this is where it all starts.
How To Get Potions In Dead Rails | Roblox
There are currently four potions in Dead Rails: Angel Tears, Devil Tears, Holy Water, and Primordial Soup. Each is crafted by mixing various substances and bottling them into Glass Bottles, which you can scavenge from the wild.
Key ingredients you'll need include Water, Milk, Blood, Kerosene, Zombie Blood, and Unicorn Blood. Most of these are found by scavenging, but the last two ingredients must be harvested from corpses of the undead or unicorns (grim, but useful).
To use a potion, simply stand in it or pour it over your avatar. Just be smart about it. You’ll want to apply these effects before diving into combat, since stopping mid-fight to splash yourself with goop isn't exactly ideal.
All Potions Recipes & Effects In Dead Rails | Roblox
The table below shows every potion recipe in Dead Rails and the ingredients you’ll need to make them. Crafting is simple: combine the right substances on the ground, then use an empty Glass Bottle to scoop up the mixture. Be quick, though, because they evaporate fast once they’re exposed to air!
Potion | Recipe | Effect |
---|---|---|
Angel Tears | Unicorn Blood + Blood | Angel Tears will heal all injuries, pretty much instantly. |
Devil Tears | Unicorn Blood + Kerosene | Upon being ignited, it will quickly consume the entire area in flames. It's recommended to use the Arsonist class. |
Holy Water | Unicorn Blood + Water | Will quickly kill all enemies with green flames (allied players are immune). |
Primordial Soup | Unicorn Blood + Milk | Corpses soaked in Primordial Soup will become reanimated and fight for the player faction (kind of like the Jade Mask). |
It's important to note that you don't always need an entire bottle of a particular potion to benefit from its effects. In most cases, pouring only a fraction of the bottled amount is enough (except maybe for Holy Water, which requires almost a full bottle).
That's everything to know about how to use potions in Dead Rails, including their effects and the recipes to craft them. The table of recipes comes from NLG.
