Here's how to get the Orangutan in Grow A Garden, including a look at what its passive ability does!
Grow A Garden Orangutan: How To Get & Ability
Roblox

The Orangutan is one of the best pets added in the Grow A Garden Summer update — and for good reason. While it doesn’t boost crops or steal coins like some of the flashier pets, it’s a low-key MVP when it comes to crafting. That's because this furry crafter just might save your stash!

Here’s how to get the Orangutan in Grow A Garden, including why it’s perfect for anyone crafting in bulk.

How To Get The Orangutan In Grow A Garden | Roblox

You can hatch the Orangutan from the Rare Summer Egg, available for 25 million Sheckles or 89 Robux in Raphael’s Pet Shop (located near the Gear Shop). It also has a ~7% chance to drop during the Summer Harvest event, which runs hourly from 21 June through 28 June.

The Orangutan has a 15% hatch rate from this specific egg, which is one of the highest drop rates in the rare tier. That's basically it. You simply need to crack some eggs and hope the big guy shows up.

You have a 3% chance to not consume materials during crafting with the Orangutan.

What Is The Orangutan's Ability In Grow A Garden? | Roblox

The Orangutan’s passive is deceptively powerful in Grow A Garden. While crafting, each material used has a 3% chance of not being consumed. That means every time you use honey, gears, seeds, or other crafting ingredients, there's a chance you'll get to keep them.

This effect applies per material, not per craft, meaning multi-part recipes benefit even more. And yes, the effect stacks. If you have several Orangutans active, you can boost that 3% into something much more meaningful.

If you have lots of Orangutans in your Grow A Garden plot, it means you can craft dozens of items while burning through far fewer resources. So, if you’re constantly crafting expensive items like sprinklers or mutation gear, this pet pays for itself fast.

That's everything you need to know about how to get the Orangutan in Grow A Garden.
