Flakes returns to RLCS, completes Team Liquid’s roster

Professional Rocket League player Hrant "Flakes" Yakoub is returning to competitive Rocket League Esports after a 10-month hiatus.

The 21-year-old will be joining Team Liquid alongside young star Bruno Alexandre "AcroniK" dos Santos Lopes ahead of the 2021-22 RLCS season, as announced on 8th October.

“Very excited to be joining Team Liquid and to be playing alongside AcroniKK and Ronaky and having Xpere on board, of course!” Flakes tweeted. “Feels good to be back and feeling optimistic for the future.”

The move only comes four days after TL released Jack "Speed" Packwood-Clarke and Emil "fruity" Moselund on 4th October.

Flakes hadn’t been a member of a Rocket League Esports squad since January 2021, when he left independent team SWAG.

The Dutchman had been a part of big-name esports organisations since his 2016 debut like Complexity Gaming and FC Barcelona, now will represent the white and blue horses in Team Liquid.

TL pulled off several top placements during The Grid and even qualified for multiple European regionals but ultimately fell short in each and every performance.

They finished their season in 16th place, amassing 820 circuit points, well shy of World Championship qualification.
