The storied League of Legends org is going supersonic with their debut Rocket League roster ahead of the RLCS season.

Misfits enter Rocket League on eve of RLCS season

Misfits Gaming have made the move into car soccer, announcing their first ever Rocket League roster, acquiring the independent Monkeys roster on the eve of RLCS opener in Europe.

On 21st October, MSFT announced Mitchell "Mittaen" Driessen, Ario "arju" Berdin, Kurtis "Kash" Cannon and coach Ryan "ANDYTHEMANDY" Gardner as their RLCS representants through the 21/22 season.

“Joined MisfitsGG! Super proud to represent them and to be part of their RLEsports roster. Excited to get to work with this team under them”, tweeted out team coach ANDY.

Independent team Monkeys had reformed only back in August 2021 after each roster member survived cuts, releases and benchings from their former teams Rix.GG and Galaxy Racer.

The bunnies will attempt to make Fidget proud during their RLCS debut during the European Open kicking off the season for Misfits on 22nd October 2021.

They earned their spot through the invitational qualifier and finished the Swiss stage with a 3-1 record by beating Dignitas, Semper Esports and Williams Resolve only dropping a series to EU behemoth BDS.

Misfits are bound to make their official RLCS debut in a rematch against Williams Resolve in the Swiss stage of the European Open for a chance to advance to the playoffs and garner prize pool money plus circuit points.

In December 2021, the RLCS will hold its first LAN event since 2019. The Fall Major will have teams from all regions competing locally for a chance at the July 2022 World Championship.

Until then, Misfits are guaranteed $1,000 in prize pool earnings and 40 circuit points. The new kids on the block will be seeking a top eight placement to guarantee their participation in the second Fall regional for a chance at more circuit points, trying to secure their Christmas LAN spot.
