Where to find and defeat the Sirens in Sea of Thieves

As one would expect, Sea of Thieves has delivered a ton of new content with the expansion, A Pirate’s Life, that released earlier today with Season 3. There are new weapons, enemies and items for players to find in the five Tall Tales that are now available to complete.

In regards to the enemies, Rare has upped their game when implementing new classes of opponents for players to fight. There are several fresh enemies that can make life extremely difficult for anyone who takes on A Pirate’s Life.

One of the new enemies that are quickly becoming notorious in Sea of Thieves is the Siren. The mythological creatures are now in the game and players want to know where to find them. More importantly, though, they want to know how to defeat them.

Sirens are fairly easy to find in Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life. No matter which Tall Tale you’re tackling, the screeching enemies are bound to show up at some point or another. However, if you truly want to give them a greeting, maybe for a Trial, then simply dive into open waters.

This can be done during a Tall Tale or in the main game. Once you’ve dove underneath the water, Sirens should be quick to show up. They mark their entrance with a short song and then you’ll likely be greeted by a group of them, led by the Siren leader.

Their attacks aren’t anything too special but they do blow bubbles that you need to avoid. If you avoid the bubbles and dodge their easy-to-predict jab attacks and remember to come up for air, then you should have no problem defeating them. However, they can heal themselves or their allies. This is signalled by the Sirens making a glowing motion with their hands.

For the leader specifically, they’ll be wielding a Trident of Dark Tides. This weapon, which is accessible to you as well, shoots out bubbles that can be damaging if not dodged enough. The leaders can also swing at you with their trident but it’s similar to the jab attacks of the other Sirens.

To defeat any of the Sirens, you just have to dodge the bubbles, which is helped by coming up for air, and swing your sword as rapidly as possible. Once defeated, the Siren leader will drop their trident for you to wield and also could drop gems. These can be sold at any Trading Company in Sea of Thieves.
