The Sims 4: How To Get Rid Of Unfulfilled Dreams Fear

The Sims 4 community is still going strong, with players continuing to spend hours upon hours crafting the intricate lives of their Sims despite the game first launching back in 2014. Since then, players have pretty much uncovered every inch of the game, turning to the likes of mods and creator-made items to further expand their experience.

But there are some elements that are still causing Sims players to scratch their heads, like unwanted Fears that plague their Sims' every waking hour. Fears such as Unfulfilled Dreams. Aside from this particular fear hitting a little too close to home, it crops up pretty often for most Sims and becomes an annoyance after a while. Naturally, players want to know how to remove the Fear of Unfufilled Dreams — here's what you need to know.

The Sims 4: How To Get Rid Of Unfulfilled Dreams Fear

The Fear of Unfufilled Dreams is occurs when a Sim hasn't completed any Wants for a long time. Players will be met with a description reading, "<Sim name> feels unfulfilled and dissatisfied with how life is going. <Sim name> will occasionally become upset with his/her life direction."

Now, there are two main ways to fix get rid of this annoying Fear. The first is perhaps the most obvious: you'll need to fufill a Want, but then you'll need to Discuss Fears with other Sims. It's not enough to simply fufill a Want as you'll also then need to complete the second step of discussing Fears with another Sim to fix the Unfulfilled Dreams Fear.

The second option is a great quick fix, providing you have the resources. You'll want to purchase the Fear-Be-Gone Potion from the Aspiration Rewards Store. Using the potion costs 300 points, so it's not difficult to rack up the necessary points. Of course, you'll either need to have saved up some points through completing previous Wants, or get your Sim completing new Wants anyway. The Fear-Be-Gone Potion will only work on one Fear, so you'll need to buy multiple if you want to get rid of more than one Fear.

After purchasing the Fear-Be-Gone Potion from the Aspiration Rewards Store, you'll find it in your Sim's inventory. Select the potion from this inventory and have your Sim drink it. You'll then be able to choose which Fear to get rid of.

The Sims 4: How To Turn Off Fears And Wants

You can actually turn off Fears and Wants altogether if they're getting a bit too annoying to deal with. To do this open up the Game Options, head to Gameplay and turn off “Show Wants & Fears”. This will remove any Wants from a Sim, while also removing any currently active Fears. You can easily turn them back on again by going through this menu once more.

The Sims 4 is available to play for free across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
