Looking to add some adorable mini sheep to your lot in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch? Here's what you need to know.
How To Get Sheep In The Sims 4 Horse Ranch

The Sims 4 Horse Ranch, the brand new expansion pack for the long-running sandbox series, adds in horses and plenty of ranch-based activities. While we've seen animals and pets arrive in The Sims 4 before, such as through the Cats & Dogs expansion from 2017, Horse Ranch finally adds rideable and trainable horses to the game.

In Horse Ranch, players have a number of new lots to explore, including the dance hall and equestrian park. The expansion also adds in a selection of new cosmetic items for your sims, and plenty of ways to customize your horse companions. A core part of this DLC is how your sims will bond with their animals, which isn't limited to just horses. Players can add mini goats and sheep to their lots, which they can care for and raise in their very own ranch. Below, we'll go over exactly how you can get sheep in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch.

How To Unlock Sheep In The Sims 4 Horse Ranch

To unlock and add sheep to your ranch life in The Sims 4, you'll need to purchase them. Fortunately, there are two different ways to purchase sheep in Horse Ranch:

  • Purchase sheep from The Bits and Bales Mercantile in New Appaloosa
  • Purchase sheep from the Ranch Animal Exchange, accessed via your Sim's phone or through a unique bulletin board.

With your sheep now purchased, it's time to learn how to care for them properly. Like most pets and animals in The Sims 4, sheep have needs that you'll have to maintain. Players will need to ensure their sheep are kept happy, fed, and clean. This means monitoring and filling their needs bars for Hunger, Hygiene, Fun and more.

Sheep will also age and grow, like other animals. You'll be seeing them through to maturity, ensuring they live happy, healthy lives. But it won't be for nothing: sheep will give players wool once it's been sheared which can be sold for Simoloeons. Sheep will even help to keep weeds and pests at bay. Eventually, you'll have a full, working farm on your hands.

And there you have it. Everything you need to know about getting and raising sheep in The Sims4 Horse Ranch.
