Turtles and their eggs have a wide variety of uses in Sons of the Forest; killing a turtle will allow players access to unique food and resources. However, it's not always clear as to where turtles, or their eggs, can be found.

Thankfully, you can easily find Turtle Eggs in Sons of the Forest if you know where and when to look. Let's take a look at where to find Turtle Eggs in Sons of the Forest.

In The Forest, there were set locations where players could reliably find turtles and their eggs; however, that isn't so much the case in Sons of the Forest. Instead, turtle locations are randomly generated — but, thankfully, they're very common on the game's beaches. (Freshwater turtles specifically are rarer, and they only spawn in freshwater lakes, but you won't need to find one of them to get Turtle Eggs.)

To find Turtle Eggs, you'll first need to find a turtle on the beach during Spring. You won't be able to find Turtle Eggs during any other season, so this factor is important. You also won't be able to find them at the very beginning of Spring, since the turtles need time to lay their eggs.

Once you're out on the beach at the right time of year and you've seen a few turtles, it's a good idea to search on the beach nearby. You might even see a turtle actively laying eggs, but even if not, you're very likely to find small piles of white Turtle Eggs in the sand. Pick them up to acquire and keep this food item.

One place that you can check to find Turtle Eggs pretty reliably is the location where you find the pistol on the beach.

Note that Turtle Eggs don't expire, so you'll be able to keep them with you in your backpack for as long as you like before eating them. You can hold up to 10 at a time; since they replenish very little of your nutrition and stamina, you'll want to get 10 of them if you can to make your search worthwhile. Their relative abundance in Spring, coupled with their lack of an expiration date, makes them a good food item to carry around in case your character ever needs a quick top-off for their health and stamina.
