We are extremely excited for South Park Snow Day, as the chaotic, 3D multiplayer action as the "New Kid" looks both fun and hilarious. However, many gamers on previous-generation consoles wonder if South Park Snow Day will be released on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 systems.

So we've got some bad news to share for prospective New Kids who want to jump into South Park Snow Day when it launches on 26 March 2024. All the trailers and the game's official website point towards the game not releasing on previous-generation consoles including Xbox One and PS4.

South Park Snow Day's official platforms for release are:

  • PS5
  • Xbox Series X/S
  • Nintendo Switch
  • PC (via Steam)

However, some fans wonder if the game will come out on Xbox One or PS4.

Can South Park Snow Day Run on PS4/Xbox One?

South Park Snow Day is optimized for the official platforms. There is no indication that the game will be optimized for PS4 or Xbox One in the future. This includes PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

However, the reason people believe there's a small chance the game could be released on previous generation systems is simple: South Park Snow Day will be released on Nintendo Switch, which is less powerful than the PS4 or Xbox One. Furthermore, the game's PC system requirements do not look all too bad, which leads some gamers to believe there's a chance of a previous-gen console release following the game's launch.

Please note: THQ Nordic has not in any way confirmed South Park Snow Day will ever be released on PS4 or Xbox One.
