Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 - Finale release, runtime rumors, and more

Prepare for the final episode in the latest Obi-Wan saga.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 - Finale release, runtime rumors, and more

Somehow it's already been nearly one month since the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series went live, and with Episode 6 just around the corner, viewers can prepare for a finale to the prequel nostalgia. With so much riding on this last episode, you'll want to keep the release date and possible runtimes in mind.

One of the largest complaints about some of the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi episodes was the runtime in general. With only six episodes in the Star Wars mini-series, every moment matters each week, and 40 minutes can go by before you know it. Depending on your region, you may be able to watch it as soon as it goes live on Disney Plus.

There is a ton of hype behind Episode 6 of Obi-Wan Kenobi, or scrutiny depending on who you ask, and there are plenty of viewers who will want to watch the finale as soon as it drops. Disney Plus makes it fairly easy to watch new episodes of their shows, but it can be hard to keep track, especially when Obi-Wan Kenobi initially started on a different day.

At a base level, the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi final will release at midnight PDT on June 22. These Star Wars shows, or most shows for that matter, are not based on local time. That means everyone will be able to watch Episode 6 at the exact same time. Some regions will be luckier than others depending on the time of day.

For reference, Some times include 12 am PDT, 3 am EDT, and 8 am BST. After the first two episodes were released, Wednesday became the designated day for new Star Wars content with Kenobi involved. But keep in mind that there are no more episodes after this week, at least within the first season.

It was said in the past that this would be a one-season limited series. However, with the instant success and popularity, a second season could be in the works, which may involve Reva and Obi-Wan. We'll all just have to wait for more information after the finale goes live.

How long is the runtime for Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6?

There is no guaranteed information on how long the final episode of Kenobi will be. After Episode 5, there was an image that floated around showing an hour and a half for the last episode. Other info claimed that the show had a certain amount of time to meet still, which could place it over an hour.

So far, the average episode has been a little over 40 minutes, so that could be a telling sign of the finale to come. But this episode also needs to sum up the epic confrontation that everyone is expecting. Fans will all find out soon when Obi-Wan brings the current story to a close.
