Obi-Wan Kenobi Finale - Is There a Post-Credit Scene

Find out if there was a post-credit scene within Episode 6 of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the finale to the Star Wars mini-series.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Finale - Is There a Post-Credit Scene

So the curtains have closed on the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi mini-series, and there is a ton to process in the past two weeks, but many fans may be wondering if there is a post-credit scene. These scenes usually serve as a final sendoff to create a connection to other content.

Post-credit scenes were made popular in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they always build up hype for the next installment in the universe. While these scenes have never been typical in Star Wars movies, they have been used on previous Star Wars shows. That means the Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 finale could have been a perfect opportunity.

Does Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 have a post-credit scene?

In short, there is no Obi-Wan Kenobi post-credit scene to be found in Episode 6. The credits themselves roll for almost six minutes straight after the final episode ends, but there are no Easter Eggs or scenes to watch.

While it may have been exciting to have one final scene, it makes sense that it was skipped this time around.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was meant to be a limited series with six episodes. Each one would tell the story of Kenobi as he finds himself again and defends Leia from the clutches of Reva or Vader. Not only is the story meant to be more finite, but there is some uncertainty behind any future Obi-Wan content entirely.

Without knowing if another season will happen, it's nearly impossible to connect the series to another piece of the franchise. The ending of Episode 6 itself was very cut and dry and it finally ties up a loose end that was brought to the surface in the show. Much of the conflict seems to be settled for now, and an Obi-Wan Kenobi post-credit scene is unnecessary.

However, there was certainly a setup for some more content down the line if Disney wants to pursue more ideas. Based on the ending, that reality may not be far off.

Will Obi-Wan Kenobi have a Season 2?

Initially, the Star Wars series was supposed to be one-and-done. But a few weeks ago, there were reports that the Kenobi series would be getting a second season after the clear success of the first six episodes. Considering where Obi-Wan ends up, it wouldn't be hard to continue the Jedi Master's story.

Ewan McGregor himself has stated that he would reprise the role if he could, so this isn't a case of the Avengers either. As the hype from the series cools down and Disney makes some decisions, we will surely learn if a Season 2 is on the way.
