On 20th April 2022, publisher Aspyr is bringing the 2008 classic, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, to Nintendo Switch. For Nintendo Switch owners, one important aspect to look at, especially if they don't have an SD Card, is how big the game's file size is.
Before you jump into the boots of Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, who has been trained to hunt down and destroy the Jedi, you will need to know the exact file size (download size) of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, as well as the supported play modes on the Nintendo Switch. We've got you covered.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Switch file size
Wondering how big the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed file (download) size is? Well, it is quite big considering this is a game released back in 2008.
- Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Switch performance
- All Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga Episode 1 to 3 Level Challenges
- Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga codes - All free rewards
- All Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Datacard locations
The file size for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Switch is 3.9 GB, according to the game's official page on the Nintendo eShop.
This means that if you have a bunch of games installed already, especially with no SD card, or a small one, then you might want to consider opening up some space.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed supported play modes
Just like most other games on the Nintendo Switch, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed features different supported play modes. These modes include:
- TV
- Tabletop
- Handheld
That's a full array of modes, but how well will it work on the smaller Switch Lite?
Does Star Wars: The Force Unleashed work on Switch Lite?
Since the handheld mode is supported for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, there is no reason to doubt the game won't work perfectly on the Switch Lite.
There is one concern, however, as a line in the game's features list explains: "players can unleash devastating Force powers and lightsaber combos using the Nintendo Joy-Con’s optional motion controls."
The Nintendo Switch Lite does not have motion controls. Therefore, we hope that standard controls will work just as well for Switch Lite owners playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
So there you have it, the supported play modes for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the Nintendo Switch console and the game's exact file size.
