Starfield wouldn't be a true Bethesda game without some jank, and there's one glitch that gets you one of the best (if not the best) spacesuits early on in the game for free. 

It's the Mark 1 Spacesuit, and while getting it is a bit tricky, it's worth the effort. If you want to get your hands on the Mark 1 Spacesuit, you're in the right place. Here's how to get the best Spacesuit for free early in Starfield

Update 7 September: The Mark 1 Spacesuit glitch also works on Xbox.

As pointed out earnestly by the Twitter user - rtaylor_4, it seems you can get the Mark 1 Spacesuit for free on Xbox as well. 

The rest of the article follows. 

To get the best Spacesuit for free in Starfield, you need to go to the basement of the Lodge in New Atlantis City. You unlock this area after interacting with the Constellation members early on in the main story. 

Once you're in the Lodge, take the door on the right and head down the stairs to reach the basement. From here, turn left and take the first right. Head straight to the room with the flower vase portrait.

You will notice the Mark 1 Spacesuit on a mannequin on the other side of the room. Sadly, it's locked up in a case, and you need to upgrade the Security perk to Rank 3 even to attempt a Digipick. 

However, thanks to the glitch, you can grab the Mark 1 Spacesuit without unlocking the door. For this, head as close as possible to the glass case and point at the area shown in the screenshot below.

Keep moving the pointer around this area, and you will soon get the option to open the glass case and interact with the mannequin. It will allow you to claim the Mark 1 Pack, Mark 1 Space Helmet, and Mark 1 Spacesuit for free. 

Do note that in our case the option to access the mannequin only appeared while using a mouse and keyboard. We previously tried it via a controller, but it didn't work.

Bethesda will likely fix the glitch in a new hotfix or a patch, so it's best to grab the Mark 1 set as soon as possible. If you don't happen to like the spacesuit, you could also sell it for an enormous amount of Credits.
