A guide to Berserker: Spilling the TFTea

Berserker is a powerful class that will see rival champions taken down in powerful and sweeping ways. This is all you need to know about Berserker and how to achieve success with it.
A guide to Berserker: Spilling the TFTea

Teamfight Tactics' second set of champions came with the Rise of the Elements update that also changed League of Legends' iconic Summoner's Rift map.

Berserker is one of the many classes within the Rise of the Elements Teamfight Tactics set, allowing for strong builds around its core champions that are strong units in their own rights.

Berserker champions have an innate trait that sees them leap to the nearest enemy as an opposite to Assassins who leap to the furthest enemy.

When Berserkers attack, they have a chance to hit all units in a cone in front of them and apply on-hit effects. This chance increases when you have six Berserkers on the field.

There are only two levels for this bonus to activate with the full set gaining an additional bonus as explained below:

  • Three = 45% chance to stun
  • Six = 100% chance to stun + 25 attack damage

The six champions below are the Berserker options with their cost, second class and stats for their ultimates listed:

Renekton

Jax

Sion

Build Guide

Berserkers are one of the more common classes so it won't be too hard to utilise the three unit bonus in the early game thanks to the likes of Renekton, Jax and Volibear.

You can get the six Berserker bonus even without all of the above champions but you will need to use a Berserker's Axe on a non-Berserker champion.

This item can be made with a Spatula and Sparring Gloves, dropped as a full item or found in carousels following the raptors.

Paired with the Berserker Axe, early Berserker builds can dominate and with good reroll luck, dominate the game before additional champions are needed.

With Kog'Maw, Twitch and Singed as Poison options, you can combine that element with Berserker for strong late game potential.

Patch 10.2 has changed three of the six Berserkers:

  • Olaf -> attack speed reduced from 0.85 to 0.8
  • Renekton -> spell damage up from 150/275/400 to 150/275/475
  • Sion -> mana increased from 50/125 to 75/125
