There are plenty of things to see and do in The Division 2. When not pursuing the main objectives, you may find yourself completing side missions, capturing control points, exploring the Dark Zone, or helping fellow Division Agents out. 

You may also spend a fair bit of time securing and upgrading Settlements. These are non-hostile zones where you can pick up new side missions, hang out with other players, or donate materials for a good cause. But how exactly do you donate in The Division 2?

You can donate materials in The Division 2 at the Project vendors of every Settlement or the Base of Operation. Find one of these and interact with the NPC there to see the different ongoing Projects you could donate to. These donations mostly require crafting materials and gear pieces, which shouldn't be too hard to find. However, if you're just starting up, you may want to spend some time exploring the open world, collecting resources, and completing missions before you start giving away your stuff.

Donating materials or items in The Division 2 has a ton of benefits. Completing a project will get you heaps of XP. Additionally, you will get new weapons and attachment blueprints. These could be rare optics or crafting items that could be useful later, so don't sleep on them. 

In The Division 2 your inventory can fill super quick, so it's best to make a habit of donating materials every now and then to prevent that from happening.
