In October 2022, CD Projekt read had a couple of announcements for players to look out for. They announced three Witcher games, a new Cyberpunk, and a brand new IP. One of them was known by the codename Canis Majoris, and the developers have finally revealed that it will be The Witcher remake.
It is exciting that players all over the world will be able to experience the original Witcher game with updated graphics in a new generation. There will be updated features and so much more. Here, we will go over what to expect for this upcoming game.

When Will The Witcher Remake Be Released? Speculation
At the time of writing, there is no official confirmed release date for The Witcher Remake, but in this article, you’ll find all (if any) information that the developer shared, as well as some speculation from Ginx on when we could see it launch.
The original The Witcher Game was first released way back in 2007. If CD Projekt Red wants to completely remake the game with Fools Theory, it will likely be a couple of years before The Witcher Remake will see the light of day.
As of this writing, it is very hard to tell when the game will actually release to the public. CD Projekt Red also claimed that they want to take their time to "do the game right" for the players. More than likely, it is going to take more than three years for this game to release. We will update this page as soon as we know more about it.
The Witcher Remake Leaks And Updates
At the moment, not much is known about The Witcher Remake. In fact, the game was only recently announced without any leaks involved as well. More than likely, CD Projekt Red is keeping a tight ship to prevent leaks of the game from happening.
The only update we really know right now about the game is the fact that it exists. No other leaks or news have been released yet. We also know that CD Projekt Red is not planning to give any news for a while so they can focus on the development of the game. It could be even a year before we see any news on this game.
