Are Tower Of Fantasy Server Transfers Possible?

In our initial impressions of Tower of Fantasy, we explored the distant planet of Aida in this free-to-play sci-fi MMO game from Hotta Studio. With the game released on 11th August 2022, and the server status relatively stable, one thing on many Wanderers' minds is if Tower of Fantasy server transfers is possible.

This guide explains what you need to know about Tower of Fantasy character server transfers and how important it is to pick the correct server and region from the get-go.

Tower of Fantasy Server Transfer Option?

First, prospective Wanderers must check the Tower of Fantasy server list featuring all regions. That's because we've got bad news for those who want to transfer servers.

Let's just pull off the bandaid right now. Tower of Fantasy does not currently support a server transfer feature.

Therefore, if you want to play Tower of Fantasy with friends, we suggest coordinating with your mates and picking the correct server you all plan on playing on.

You can, however, create characters on different servers. Players won't lose any progress from their original server, but they must start from scratch on the new server they choose.

The server regions in Tower of Fantasy are divided into North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America. Each region has multiple servers to choose from. 

The developers explain that picking the correct Tower of Fantasy server isn't just about playing with friends: "To guarantee a smooth experience, we strongly recommend that you select a region close to or that corresponds to the country you reside in. You are free to choose any server while taking the above into consideration. When a queue or congestion arises for a certain server, we recommend you prioritize selecting a smooth server."

You can join Crews and add Wanderers from the same server as your friends. Additionally, the developers did not that "some modes" support cross-server matching within the same region. 

So while there is currently no option to transfer progress and characters between Tower of Fantasy servers, this might not always be the case. We will endeavor to update our readers if the developer ever decides to add this feature.

For now, remember to pick your server wisely and maybe coordinate with friends!
