Dying Light Is Free To Download On Epic Games Store

UPDATE - Dying Light Enhanced Edition is now free to download on Epic Games Store.

Original Story - Dying Light is the next free game on Epic Games Store. Publisher Techland announced today via a new blog post on the game's official website. 

The "free ticket to Harran" aka Dying Light will be available for free from 6th April 2023 to 13th April 2023. In addition to this, players who redeem Dying Light from the Epic Games store will also receive a welcome pack that contains the following items: 

• Last Hope weapon
• Alternator hammer
•  Deadeye’s bow blueprint
•  Ratty outfit skin
•  Survival kit bundle

For those unaware, Dying Light is a first-person open-world survival horror game with a focus on parkour and melee combat. It takes place in a fictional middle-east city called Harran, with a full day and night cycle. 

Interestingly enough, this Dying Light offer on the Epic Games Store comes just two weeks before the launch of Dead Island 2, which arrives 12 years after Techland shipped the first game. 

The gameplay and structural similarities between Dying Light and Dead Island are obvious though Dead Island  2 is shaping up to be quite a "thrilling zombie-slaying experience" of its own. You can read all about it in our Dead Island 2 Preview.
