Fallout 76 Expeditions The Pitt - Release Date And What To Expect

Fallout 76 is gearing up for its latest expansion update following its initial reveal at E3 June last year. In a recent announcement by Bethesda during QuakeCon 2022, Expeditions: The Pitt will launch in September, sending players back to the labyrinth streets of a post-war Pittsburgh to explore a new faction conflict between the Union and Fanatics.

At the same time, Fallout 76 players can look forward to a new storyline, weapons, loot, and four-player repeatable challenges in Expeditions. Here's everything you need to know about Fallout 76's latest expansion update, including its release date and what to expect.

Fallout 76 Expeditions: The Pitt - Release date

Fallout 76's Expeditions: The Pitt expansion update will release on 13th September 2022 for free to all owners of the Fallout 76 base game, currently available on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft Windows PC. Otherwise, new players can purchase any of the following editions:

Standard Edition

• Fallout 76 base game

Deluxe Edition / Recruitment Bundle

• Fallout 76 base game
• Digital Upgrade Bundle: Pittsburgh Neighborhood C.A.M.P. Kit, Fanatic Paint for the 10mm SMG, Trog Plushie, Fanatic Power Armor Paint, and Fusion Core Recharger.

Players who already own the game can also get the same bonus in-game digital cosmetics and C.A.M.P items in the Digital Upgrade Bundle, but only when they purchase The Pitt: Deluxe Edition or Recruitment Bundle.

Fallout 76 Expeditions: The Pitt - What to expect

As mentioned earlier, The Pitt will have Fallout 76 players leave the borders of Appalachia and revisit the industrial wasteland of a post-war Pittsburgh. As one might expect, radiation has plagued the city with various mutations, including vicious Trogs and a new power struggle between the Union and a power-hungry group of Raiders called the Fanatics.

The blue-collar freedom-fighting Union faction is with which players must ally, learn about their history, unlock new weapons and armor, and establish a reputation with the Raider-besieged Fanatics faction. Players must help the unions reclaim their homes. But don't worry, you won't need to do it alone.

Fallout 76's The Pitt expansion introduces a brand-new multiplayer mode, appropriately titled Expeditions. These story-driven, repeatable missions are set in The Pitt, available for players to try out Solo or in a squad of up to four players; these will be scaled according to the player or team's player level.

But don't be fooled; the ruins of Pittsburgh will challenge even veteran players, testing their might and survival ability in The Pitt. In addition, all missions in Expeditions are comparable to Fallout 76's end-of-questline tasks, so be warned.

As a reward for completing Expeditions challenges, players will earn XP, loot, and a new currency called Stamps, which they can exchange for powerful and rare Expeditions-themed loot.
