Grounded Dew Collector Guide - How To Unlock, Use & Craft

Dew Collector is one of the many vital utility structures in Grounded, a survival action-adventure game from developers Obsidian Entertainment. Players can collect Clean Water using the Dew Collector—a much-needed resource that always seems to be in short supply.

However, unlocking and crafting a Dew Collector in Grounded is daunting as most players don't know how to unlock its Blueprint. In contrast, some players fail to gather the required materials to craft one. This guide details how to unlock, use and craft Dew Collector in Grounded. 

How To Get A Dew Collector In Grounded

You can get a Dew Collector in Grounded by crafting it at the Workbench. Once you have the Blueprints unlocked and the required crafting materials, go to a Workbench. Next, interact with it and navigate to the Storage and Utilities section.

Then, select the Dew Collector—you will find it under the Drink section. After that, you can click on Construct to begin the crafting process. Here are the materials you need for crafting a Dew Collector in Grounded - 

• 5x Crude Rope

• 6x Weed Stem

• 8x Pebblet

• 5x Silk Rope

Note: Apart from collecting the crafting materials required to make the Dew Collector in Grounded, the primary item you need is the Blueprint.

You can get the Dew Collector Blueprint in Grounded by crafting some Silk Rope. As soon as you craft and analyze your first Silk Rope, you will unlock the Dew Collector Blueprint.

During Grounded's Early Access release, it was possible to unlock the Blueprint using Quartzite, a resource found in caves and underground structures.

But with the Grounded's full release, it is no longer possible to unlock the Dew Collector this way. Instead, you will need to craft Silk Rope to unlock the Dew Collector Blueprint. 

How To Use The Dew Collector In Grounded

Using the Dew Collector in Grounded is a relatively easy task compared to crafting it. Once you have the Dew Collector made, you can place it anywhere, and over time it will generate clean water that you can drink to get rid of Thirst status.

The Dew Collector takes around ten to fifteen minutes to develop a single water drop, whereas it can hold up to 4 drops at max. You can place it at locations where drops of liquid appear naturally to obtain clean water.
