Every year, one of the most popular things for players to participate in NBA 2K is face scanning themselves.
This allows players to have their characters mimic themselves with an animated version of their faces. While the face scan has faced some backlash in recent years for not properly mimicking players’ faces, the 2K22 version seems to be adequate so far. Still, players need to know how to access the feature and what they need to get their face in the NBA.
Below, players can see exactly what they need to do to face scan themselves into NBA 2K22.
Face scanning in NBA 2K22
To start, you need to ensure that you have a MyPLAYER account set up and connected to NBA 2K22. To do this, you can download the MyNBA 2K22 app on either the iOS and Android stores. From here, either sign in or create your MyPLAYER account and then sign in to your MyPLAYER account on the NBA 2K22 application. This is done on the system of your choice.
The next step is to go into the MyNBA 2K22 app and go to the “Scan Your Face” section. This will allow you to scan your face using your phone’s front-facing camera. So it goes without saying that the better quality camera you have on your phone will produce a better rendering of your face.
Other tips include making sure you’re in a well-lit area and don’t move or blink if you can help it. This helps with keeping your face steady and produces the best version. However, you can always re-do the scan if the previous rendering didn’t come out the way you wanted.

Once this is done, you can follow the steps to get your face into NBA 2K22. After the steps have been completed, you can go into the 2K22 application, go to MyPLAYER, and your face should be present on your character.
Now your character is usable with your face in any of 2K22’s MyPLAYER features.
