UPDATE:

Nintendo has officially announced a demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will release today.

Revealed during a Direct presentation, the demo will let you play the first chapter of the story - with progress carrying over to the full game when it's released.

You can check out the full presentation below.

Original story:

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity may be getting a playable demo very soon, according to a since removed listing on the Nintendo eShop.

Fans captured a shot from the UK Nintendo eShop showing the existence of a demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, although when you follow the link, there’s no download to be found.

Since it was posted this morning (Wednesday 28th October), the advert has since been removed from the UK eShop - indicating someone at Nintendo may have accidentally pushed the button early on an announcement.

The eShop in France also had the listing briefly up at the same time, so it certainly seems like a demo for the title is on the way.

But when will it arrive? Considering they have the announcement in place on their online store, it’s likely to drop at some point this week. We’ll update this page when any announcement is made.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a follow-up to the original Hyrule Warriors, which takes a Dynasty Warriors spin on the Legend of Zelda franchise.

Age of Calamity is set 100 years before events in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and revolves around the Great Calamity event which causes the resurgence of Calamity Ganon.

You’ll get to play as a variety of characters too, including Breath of the Wild champions Revali, Dark, Urbosa and Mipha.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity launches 20th November on Nintendo Switch.
