Mario Golf: Super Rush has been announced for Nintendo Switch.

Debuted during the latest Nintendo Direct, Mario Golf: Super Rush will be released on 25th June - featuring the typical cast of Mushroom Kingdom folks hitting the putting green.

Fans of previous Mario Golf titles will be pleased to hear Super Rush features an RPG-like story mode, where you play as your Mii character and level up stats with experience points.

A multiplayer mode called Speed Golf was also shown, where players have to race across courses after hitting your ball, with power-ups also available to cause havoc with opponents.

Motion controls will also be available using the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, if you want to steer it closer to a golfing sim.

Mario Golf: Super Rush is the first game in the series since 2014’s Mario Golf: World Tour on Nintendo 3DS, although the last great title in the series was arguably 2003’s Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour on Nintendo Gamecube.

Mario Golf: Super Rush releases 25th June on Nintendo Switch.
