Pac-Man 99 Being Delisted By Nintendo

The Wakka Wakka is over. Say goodbye to Pac-Man 99.
Pac-Man 99 Being Delisted By Nintendo

Nintendo is officially shutting down and delisting Pac-Man 99. The game will start to be shut down in August before being fully pulled on October 8.

According to Nintendo themselves, the game's DLC will still be playable after the game is delisted, but you won't be able to play the main game at all, with servers being completely terminated.

Events will proceed as follows:

  • August 8- Custom themes are removed
  • September 8- The option to buy the DLC will disappear
  • October 8- The main game, the free DLC, and the online servers will be shut down.

Pac-Man 99 has been available to Switch Online customers since April 2021, with it replacing Super Mario Bros 35 when Nintendo decided to delist that. It's unclear if Nintendo plans to add anything to replace Pac-Man 99 similar to the Super Mario Bros 35 situation or if they plan on leaving a slot empty.
