Streamer slams Twitch for refusal to ban 'Cat Breeding Mill' channel from site

Another popular streamer has voiced their opinion on Twitch’s refusal to ban a suspicious channel on their network.

After Twitch streamer Alisha12287 was banned by the platform for “unexplained circumstances” another is now speaking out against the same issue.

A fairly popular channel, with over 35k followers, Twitch streamer Yabbe is raising her concerns with the streaming platforms hierarchy. Back in October of 2020, another popular channel Alisha12287 was banned by Twitch citing “unexplained circumstances.”

The ban seems to have stemmed from a stream in which Alisha12287 brought up an unethical Kitten Mill using Twitch as a platform to promote their business. Alisha specifically lists health violations of the Kitten Mill, citing an official USDA.gov report.

In response to the video, which received lots of attention, lawyers of the Kitten Mill sent a letter to Twitch, who subsequently banned Alisha12287 from streaming on their platform for two weeks.

Twitch streamer Yabbe again prods platform to act

Continuing where Alisha left off, a new streamer is continuing to ask Twitch for answers. In a series of tweets posted to her account, Twitch streamer Yabbe again asked Twitch to look into the inhumane circumstances surrounding the Kitten Mill.

Alisha12287 quickly jumped in to further back the message.

It will be interesting to see how Twitch handles the situation going forward, especially as support from the gaming community continues to grow.
