Everyone and their pet Cacodemon probably knows by now that the new DOOM game, aka DOOM: The Dark Ages, is coming in hot on 15 May 2025. It's available on PC and current-gen consoles.
You can either open your wallet and throw a bunch of money at Bethesda, or you can start playing the game without paying anything extra (except for the subscription) on Xbox Game Pass. I'm doing the latter!
In any case, there's only the tip of the iceberg, as Xbox Game Pass for May also includes a bunch of other titles, including my favorite fishing-inspired game, a Lovecraftian horror experience called Dredge.
You can check out the table I created below, showcasing the release dates (on Xbox Game Pass) as well as the platforms these titles are playable on below.
Game | Release Date | Platforms |
---|---|---|
Dredge | May 1 | Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X |
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 | May 7 | Cloud, Console, PC |
Dungeons of Hinterberg | May 7 | Console |
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn | May 7 | Xbox Series X |
Metal Slug Tactics | May 7 | Console |
Revenge of the Savage Planet | May 8 | Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X |
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: MU | May 8 | Cloud, Console, PC |
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 | May 13 | Cloud, Console |
DOOM: The Dark Ages | May 15 | Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X |
Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo | May 15 | Cloud, Console, PC |
Firefighting Simulator: The Squad | May 20 | Cloud, Console, PC |
Police Simulator: Patrol Officers | May 20 | Cloud, Console, PC |
So listen, I know everyone is probably going to just play DOOM: The Dark Ages, and that's okay. However, if you want something completely different and utterly fantastic, I highly suggest you check out Dredge!
FYI: More titles will be added before the end of May.
