Like most live-service and MMO titles, Warframe hosts a plethora of limited-time events every year. Nightwave is arguably the most important of them all, lasting not just for days or weeks but months.
Nightwave is the closest thing you can get to something like a battle pass in Warframe, as it adds new challenges and rewards for you to pursue. The one caveat to Nightwaves in Warframe is that its end date is not announced ahead of launch and sometimes concludes on just a two-week notice period. Here's everything we know about the next Nightwave in Warframe.
When Does the Next Nightwave Start in Warframe
UPDATE - It's been confirmed by the 179th Devstream that the next Nightwave will start on May 15, 2024.
Volume 6 of Nora’s Mix, will including the following items:
- Nukor Daybreak Skin
- Cedo Daybreak Skin
- Glaive Daybreak Skin
- Daybreak Gene Masking for Kubrows and Kavats
- Daybreak Armor
- Sobek and Glaxion Augments
The current Nightwave at the time of writing is Nora’s Mix Volume 5, which started on Wednesday, November 29th. Digital Extremes have yet to indicate when this will end.
Typically a new Nightwave will start within one week of the last Nightwave ending.
For now we can only speculate when the next Nightwave will start in Warframe, which based on previous releases could be anything from 4 to 6 months since the release of the last Nightwave.
If we assume the same length of time as the last gap (182 days), the next Nightwave could start on or around May 22, 2024.
What is the Current Nightwave in Warframe
As mentioned above, the current Nightwave in Warframe is Nora's Mix Vol 5. Nora's Mix Vol 5 adds a bunch of sweet rewards like the Drifter Keeler Suit and the Sentient Blast Battacor Weapon Augment Mod. Whether you're a new player or a veteran, the Nightwave will be your primary source for new mods, resources, cosmetics, and Warframes.
How long does Nightwave Last in Warframe
The Nightwave events in Warframe could last up to 6-9 months if not more. While it primarily functions like the season/season pass of other live-service titles, it's more confusing than those. On the table below you can see how much time has passed between each previous Nightwave in Warframe

Are Nightwave Events Free in Warframe
Yes, the Nightwave events are completely free, and you can claim all the rewards in it without paying a single penny. Unlike season passes in other games, there are no free or premium tiers in Warframe's Nightwave. To unlock all the Nightwave rewards, you have to climb up the Ranks and gain Nora credits by completing daily and weekly missions.
