Video games and wrestling have crossed paths on more than one occasion, especially when it comes to WWE performers showing off their passion for gaming, with none other than John Cena doing so during this past SummerSlam.

We've previously seen performers like Thea Trinidad (formerly known as Zelina Vega) show up donning an incredible cosplay during WWE's biggest party of the summer, Sombra from Overwatch, back in 2020, and while Cena wasn't dressed as anyone, his entrance graphics and new merchandise feature a designed inspired by the revered Super Mario Bros 3 artwork.

John Cena, who returned to the WWE to feature in a program with Roman Reigns, which culminated in the main event of SummerSlam with the Tribal Chief coming out on top, entered the ring alongside a unique titantron and new sleuth of merchandise, featuring an animated version of himself stylised with uncanny similarity to the Super Mario Bros 3 logo.

The shirt features the Super Mario Bros 3 homage front and center, meanwhile on the back, the 16 titles won by John Cena throughout his WWE career can be seen.

How to buy John Cena Super Mario Bros 3

Well, if you're looking to spend as little as possible, we're afraid we've got some bad news. The only way to acquire this limited-edition shirt is by purchasing an NFT available on the WWE shop which comes curated with a box of merch handpicked by Cena.

The total cost for the package is $1,000 and it includes:

  • T-Shirt (individually numbered with a sewn-on label)
  • Hat
  • Wristband Set
  • Towel
  • Signed Printed Piece (based on t-shirt art)
  • 24x36 Poster (ships with box)
  • Exclusive mini version of his signature title (individually numbered on back patch)

We're all for gaming and wrestling crossing over, but a grand for a shirt and a few goodies seems a tad expensive, but if you've got the disposable income, it's definitely worth checking out.
