Sea of Thieves Shrine of Ancient Tears guide - The Sunken Kingdom

The latest update for Sea of Thieves, entitled: “The Sunken Kingdom" added a series of new locations for all players to explore, with most of its secrets and treasures being hidden inside six new Shrines spread across the map.

Among these is the Shrine of Ancient Tears, which features a temple that was once a great meeting place for the Ancients. After the Ancients vanished, some of their old temples fell into ruin at the bottom of the ocean, and sirens used them to build a shrine around it.

The Shrine of Ancient Tears lies in a dark place, so players must ensure they have a lantern while they venture into the depths of the ocean floor to look for it. Without any further ado, let's dive into the guide, where you will find everything you need to know about the Shrine of Ancient Tears, including how to survive and what awaits you as you venture deeper inside it.

To find the Shrine of Ancient Tears, you will have to sail towards The Ancient Isles, which are located in the South-East direction of Thieves’ Haven. As you approach the Thieves' Haven, you will see purple and blue lights swirling into the sky, demarcating the location of the Shrine.

Park your ship and swim down towards the northern quarter of the Shrine of Ancient Tears to find a blocked entrance. You will need to damage the pink Coral Orb to open the Siren Window and enter the Shrine.

Move back to the main chamber to activate the Floor Plate Puzzle and solve it to open a large stone door to the East on the second floor of the chamber. There you will find a treasure: The Chest of Everlasting Sorrow journal.

After that, light six torches and pull the three turtle levers to open two turtles stone doors. One of them will contain treasure while the other one will lead to the next area. Light the new torches found and fight a Coral Skeleton to move on to the next area.

There you will find Parrot levers, and you will first have to light four torches and then pull down all the levers to open the next door. The first-floor plate will then open a secret compartment with parrot levers, interact with them to open the locked stone door.
