The Love Ascended event in Ark Survival Ascended is now live and sent players searching for a new breed of animal; the "Love Bug," offering players a secret seasonal reward to celebrate the Valentines season. These Love Bugs are crucial due to new resources players can obtain known as "Love Bug Hearts". But where can you find a lot of them? Here's everything you need to know.

Note - The ARK Love Ascended event has been extended until Monday, Feb 26th

Where To Find Love Bugs In ARK Love Ascended?

The Love Bugs can be found in the "Redwoods" forest location on the island, as seen in the image below. Love Bugs are a direct reskin of the generic "Giant Bugs" seen on Ark Survival Ascended, and therefore you would assume it wouldn't be all that difficult to find these critters.

But you would be wrong. The Love Bugs - which spawn at level 100 - are much smaller than the typical 'Giant Bug' and will sometimes spawn inside the ground, making it even more difficult to locate them during your playthroughs. You'll also want to watch your back as the Redwoods area can be quite dangerous with Thylacoleo and other creatures nearby.

How To Farm Love Bugs In ARK Love Ascended?

Each Love Bug will drop three hearts, and you'll need plenty of Love Bug Hearts to craft items at the crafting station smithy.

So once you've made it to the Redwoods area, we recommend farming these animals with a high-powered weapon like a rifle to shoot them out of the sky. Alternatively, maybe consider using a tamed Rex to help you out, especially since the Love Bugs have a base health of 4887 and can be somewhat arduous to kill. If you're planning on farming Love Bugs you'll need all the help you can get.
