Treyarch teases Cold War and Warzone Season 5 with cryptic cinematic

With Season 4 slowly coming to an end, Call of Duty fans around the globe can't wait to find out more details about Season 5.

And Treyarch, Black Ops Cold War developer, is answering these wishes, as they are starting to tease the upcoming season.

Treyarch released today the Season 4 outro cinematic, which serves to transition the ongoing story from Season 4 to the theatre of the next season.

The teaser video is rather short and it doesn't reveal much in terms of gameplay or future content, but it does tease a mysterious new operator who is presumably set to join the game in Season 5.

In the video, we hear Freya "Wraith" Helvig speaking about the success of the Verdansk tests, and how they destroyed the Jumpseat satellite constellation, which we saw as new Verdansk POIs in Season 4.

"Using a dead drop, the critical data stolen by Wraith and Knight is passed to an Operator with the unique skills required to execute Stitch's endgame," says Treyarch official explanation of what we are seeing in the trailer.

The community is already speculating who this new operator might be, but currently, no one has any idea who picked up that bag, but we know that he is heading to Teufelsberg, known as Devil's Mountain, in Berlin, where a U.S. listening station was placed during the Cold War.

Another thing we expect to happen in Season 5 is the in-game reveal of the next Call of Duty game, known as Vanguard, as several leaks are pointing toward an in-game event in Warzone which will lead to the teaser for COD 2021.
