Call of Duty World League Championship
Published on July 23rd, 2018
The Call of Duty World League Championship will return for its sixth iteration on August 15. The event is split between two venues, both in Colombus, Ohio. It will be the MLG Arena that plays host to the group stages, and then the action will move to the Nationwide Arena for the championship bracket stage. Unarguably the most prestigious tournament in competitive Call of Duty, the World League Championship will crown the new world champions. There is significant financial reward to go with the glory, too, with the World League Championship boasting a $1,500,000 prize pool – that's the biggest payday in pro CoD. The current list of participants is as follows: Rise Nation, OpTic Gaming, Red Reserve, Team Kaliber, Echo Fox, compLexity Gaming, FaZe Clan, Luminosity Gaming, Team Envy, eUnited, UNILAD Esports, Splyce, Mindfreak, Evil Geniuses, Tainted Minds, Epsilon eSports. Sixteen spots remain available from the Last Chance qualifier, which will take place on July 24 and 25. Keep up with the list of participants by regularly checking the tournament's page on the CoD Esports wiki.
