Fans of Latin American Twitch creators and the CS:GO esports scene in the region are in for a treat with the Twitch Rivals CS:GO Showdown LATAM event. This will be a three-day event which a decent prize pool for teams to fight for. Here's everything you need to know about the Twitch Rivals CS:GO Showdown LATAM event.

Prize pool

There's a total prize pool of 25,000 USD to fight for. The event will have 20 players, divided into four teams.

The prize pool distribution is:

  • 1st place - $10,000
  • 2nd place - $7,000
  • 3rd & 4th place - $4,000

With this prize pool distribution, every team will at least get a piece of the $25,000 total prize pool.

Format

The Twitch Rivals CS:GO Showdown LATAM tournament takes place across three days, starting with the draft show, where the team captains will be picked, followed by these captains picking their teams.

Day 2 will be played in the Round Robin best-of-three format, and the top two teams qualify for the Finals day. Check out the map pool below.

The Finals day will feature one match of CS:GO between the top two teams. The match will be played in a best-of-three format, with your standard map picks and bans leading into the match.

 

Schedule

The Twitch Rivals CS:GO Showdown LATAM is a three-day event. However, you will only see actual CS:GO matches take place on the final two days, as the first day is a player drafting affair.

  • Day 1 Player Draft: 22nd February 2021 at 15:00 PT / 23:00 GMT
  • Day 2 Round Robin: 27th February 2021 at 11:00 PT / 17:00 GMT
  • Day 3 Finals: 28th February 2021 at 13:00 PT / 21:00 GMT
