Cyberpunk 2077: How To Get More FPS And Fix Performance

Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here and after eight years of waiting, millions of players all around the world will finally get to enjoy this epic game.

Unfortunately, the launch of the game is not exactly as smooth as players and developers would like it, and there are many issues across all platforms.

If you have managed to download the game and you started playing it, you might have encountered some issues with the game's performance, because unfortunately, the game is currently not as optimized as it should be.

Fortunately, there are some small tweaks that can make the game to run significantly better on PC.

Cyberpunk 2077 settings: how to get more FPS and better performance

First thing you should know is if your PC is up to system requirements of Cyberpunk 2077, and set resolution and graphic quality accordingly.

But apparently, there's one particularly troublesome setting that absolutely shreds performance on PC, and if you turn off that one setting, Cyberpunk 2077 should work significantly better.

And here's what you can do to fix Cyberpunk 2077 performance.

1. Go into Cyberpunk 2077 settings
2. Select the Graphics tab
3. Find "Cascaded Shadows Resolution"
4. Either turn it off completely or change it to Medium/Low
5. Restart the game (you don't have to, but just in case).

With this change, you should get a significant boost in performance and FPS. Some users are even reporting that their frame rate went from ~20 FPS to a very playable 60FPS!

Additionally, if you have an Nvidia graphics card that supports DLSS technology, you should absolutely use this feature, it is a lifesaver in resource-intensive games like Cyberpunk 2077. The best setting for this is: Quality.
