Dead by Daylight Twisted Masquerade - How to Get All Masks

Dead by Daylight's anniversary event is one of the game's grandest events of the year, with developers previously saying last year that they will put most of their team's energy into the upcoming event.  The Twisted Masquerade event started on 22nd June 2023 and will last until July 2023. During the event, players are able to collect 12 unique masquerade masks for 12 different characters.

Here is how to get all of the masks in Dead by Daylight's Twisted Masquerade event, so you can get these limited-edition items for yourself.

Update 22 June 2023 - Dead by Daylight's 2023 Twisted Masquerade event is here, so we've updated this article to reflect how to get all of the new masks this year!

There is a different process for earning masks for both killer and survivor characters. It's a bit easier for killers to earn masks, but survivors can always find masks with a little effort, too.

Killer characters will need to find the Invitation Scrolls in the trial, and then finish the trial after interacting with it. The killer does not need to get a certain number of kills or points to earn a mask.

Survivor characters will need to find the Invitation in the trial, and then survive until the exit gates are opened to keep the Invitation. The survivor will then earn a mask.

The mask the player receives does not depend on which character they are playing; for example, a character playing The Onryo could receive a mask for The Knight or The Legion after interacting with an Invitation.

It's a great idea to play a Terrormisu, an event offering earned during the Twisted Masquerade event if you're trying to earn masks. This offering not only grants everyone in your lobby 107% Bloodpoints, but it also shows the aura of the Invitation in the trial, making it easy for you to find it for yourself and ensure you earn a cosmetic.

During this year's event, both survivors and killers can also activate their Invitations to use a special ability in the match - survivors can block a vault location or spawn a pallet, while killers can instantly break pallets or block survivors' vault locations. Note that if you use your invitations this way, though, you'll need to collect another if you want to collect the reward upon escaping.

Twelve different characters receive new masks in the 7th-anniversary event. Each masquerade mask is themed on a character's signature look or a personality trait. For example, Jeff, who is known for his love for his dog, has a dog-inspired mask.

The following characters receive new masquerade masks in the 2023 Twisted Masquerade event:

  • The Oni
  • The Blight
  • The Knight
  • The Legion
  • The Nurse
  • The Singularity
  • Felix Richter
  • Gabriel Soma
  • Jeff Johansen
  • Jonah Vasquez
  • Meg Thomas
  • Zarina Kassir

For posterity, here's a look at 2022's Twisted Masquerade masks:

  • The Artist
  • The Huntress
  • The Spirit
  • The Trapper
  • The Trickster
  • The Deathslinger
  • Ace Visconti
  • Dwight Fairfield
  • Elodie Rakoto
  • Jane Romero
  • Michaela Reid
  • Yui Kumura

It's certainly a thoughtful touch from developers that both killer and survivor players can earn rewards that will make their characters look nice and stand out.
