Destiny 2 The Dawning: New activities, rewards, weapons, and more

Destiny 2's end of the year event has gone live, bringing a whole bunch of content for players to look forward to during the Holidays.

Like every December, Eva Levante has arrived at the Tower in Destiny 2, kicking off The Dawning, Bungie's end of the year event.

This time around, the event feature's an exotic quest as well as a community challenge that will reward every Guardian with some sweet loot.

Let's cut to the chase and break down everything available in The Dawning 2020 in Destiny 2.

Just as a reminder, The Dawning started this 15th December and will run until the 5th of January. Every cosmetic item special to this festivity that you didn't acquire, such as emotes, ornaments, vehicles, and more, won't come back until the next Dawning event at the end of 2021.

Exotic quest and community challenge

During The Dawning players can complete an exotic quest that will reward them with the Starfarer 7M Ship. The quest is called "And to All a Good Flight." As you progress through it, you'll unlock special perks for your ship and the occasional legendary gear drop.

The quest is relatively simple, here's how to complete it:

• Step 1: Bake a Chocolate Ship Cookies for Amanda - This step is simple as you'll get all the ingredients you need automatically
• Step 2: Speak with Amanda in the Hanger.
• Step 3: Return to Eva.
• Step 4: Bake a Classic Butter Cookie, Generate Dawning Spirit - To get the necessary ingredients, Taken Butter (Taken kills) and Superb Texture (Super kills) with 25 Essence of Dawning. Grab daily and weekly bounties to progress faster.
• Step 5: Give the Gifts to Eva.
• Step 6: Bake Gentleman’s Shortbread, Generate Dawning Spirit - To bake this recipe, you need Ether Cane (defeat Fallen), Perfect Taste (precision kills), and 55 Essence of Dawning. Give this gift to Devrim Kay in the EDZ.
• Step 7: Let Eva Know of Your Delivery.
• Step 8: Cook Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, Generate Dawning Spirit - For this recipe, you need Chitin Powder (Hive kills) and Finishing Touch (kills using Finishers) and 90 Essence of Dawning. Give your gift to Eris Morn in the Moon.
• Step 9: Return to Eva.
• Step 10: Bake Bittersweet Biscotti, Generate Dawning Spirit - For this recipe, you need Dark Ether Cane (killing Scorn) and Balance Flavors (kills with snipers, scout rifles, or bows), and 130 Dawning Essence. Give it to The Crow in The Tangled Shore.
• Step 11: Go back to Eva Levante in the Tower.
• Step 12: Bake Bittersweet Biscotti, Generate Dawning Spirit - One last recipe, bake using Ether Cane (killing Fallen) and Delicious Explosion (kills with grenades, rocket launchers, or grenade launchers) and 175 Essence of Dawning. Bring it to Zavala at the Tower.
• Step 13: Pay one last visit to Eva Levante.
• Step 14: Visit Amanda Holliday to complete the quest, upgrading your ship to the max!

The community challenge requires Guardians to bake Dead Candy Ghosts (Dark Ether Cane + Flash of Inspiration) and give them to Spider in the Tangled Shore. The quest has 10 steps and so far players have yet to complete the first one.

New Legendary Fusion Rifle - Glacioclasm

On top of cosmetics, there's a new Fusion Rifle up for grabs, the Legendary Glacioclasm.

According to Light.gg it boasts some interesting perks such as Killing Wing, Surplus, Demolitionist, Swashbuckler, Unrelenting, and more.
