How To Get Quicksilver Storm Catalyst In Destiny 2

Destiny 2 Lightfall has brought cyberpunk-themed weapons to the game and one of them is the Quicksilver Storm Auto Rifle. As of this writing, this new exotic Auto Rifle is exclusively available to players who purchase the Lightfall Annual Pass.

The Quicksilver Storm has been available to use in Destiny 2 ever since Bungie's Lightfall showcase in August of 2022. With the Lightfall expansion, however, Bungie has added a catalyst that makes it a Strand weapon. Here's how you can get it.

To get the Quicksilver Storm catalyst in Destiny 2 Lightfall, players must complete the exotic quest, 'Any Data Port In A Storm.'  The quest will be available to pick up from the holoprojector near the Strider's Gate waypoint. It's next to where you can find Nimbus.

It's important to note that the Quicksilver Storm catalyst quest won't be immediately available. Players can pick it from the holoprojector after reaching the fifth step in the Lightfall's main quest.

As for the quest itself, there are three objectives to complete. These are:

  • Rapidly defeat 150 enemies on Neomuna with Auto Rifles, grenades, and Grenade Launchers.
  • Talk to Banshee-44 in the Tower.
  • Defeat 40 combatants on Neomuna with the alternate Grenade Launcher fire mode of Quicksilver Storm.

And that's pretty much it! Completing the quest, 'Any Data Port In A Storm' will unlock the Quicksilver Storm catalyst in Destiny 2.
