  • The new character is released on 26 February 2020
  • It's the first of five new characters in the third season of Dragon Ball FighterZ

Kefla was announced as the next DLC character for Dragon Ball FighterZ at the World Tour 2020 final, and Bandai Namco have shared more details about the new addition.

A fusion combination of Kale and Caulifla from Dragon Ball Super, Kefla is the first of five new DLC characters coming to the title over the third season – with Goku Ultra Instinct the second.

Ahead of Kefla’s release on 26 February 2020, Bandai Namco (via Silconera) has released details on the character’s special attacks. You can check out the list below.

There’s also details on the new Z Assist Select mechanic, which allows players to select a character’s Assist Attack, choosing from three options per fighter.

A new Limit Break Super Power is also detailed, describing it as “when you have one character remaining the meter changes to a golden colour that automatically provides a huge boost in attack power.” It can also be used together with Sparking.

The game’s training mode is also set to undergo changes whereby completing tasks will earn you as-of-yet unknown rewards.

Following Kefla’s release later this month, second DLC character Goku Ultra Instinct is set to launch in Spring 2020.

Dragon Ball FighterZ’s third competitive season will kick off on 26th February.
