Best Twinblade In Elden Ring: Top 6 Ranked

Twinblades boasts some of the greatest base Attack damage as we've ranked all Twinblades to see which is the best to wield in Elden Ring.
Best Twinblade In Elden Ring: Top 6 Ranked

With a massive variety of weapon types available at the beginning of Elden Ring, Twinblades are considered the most challenging ones to wield. Often utilized as a dual-wielded weapon, these weapons have a unique combat approach due to their immense range and fast-paced attacks, making them accessible for DPS builds.

With their unique weapon animations, Twinblades are not easy to find but can be used in most builds, so what are the best Twinblades in Elden Ring? We've compared and ranked all six Twinblades to determine the best Twinblades to wield in Elden Ring.

What Is The Best Twinblade To Get In Elden Ring?

Given their unique appeal, Twinblades has one of the highest in-game Attack stats, which can be best utilized for inflicting various status effects like Bleed, Rot, and Poison. Ideally, the Twinblade is often used with jumping attacks and performing slashing attacks to target multiple targets at once.

What makes Twinblades overlooked compared to other weapon types is that most of these weapons are available from the mid to late-game sections, particularly once the Altus Plateau region becomes unlocked. This means you'll be wielding one Twinblade weapon until you've arrived at Altus Plateau before finding a better Twinblade when other weapon types are available much earlier.

As there are only six Twinblades available in Elden Ring, we've ranked all six to determine which is the best Twinblade weapon to own in Elden Ring:

Twinblade

The standard Twinblade weapon is the first of this weapon type most players will have access to, given that it can be found early in-game. Regardless of its accessibility, it's considered the worst overall Twinblade due to its weak base stats, but it can have its Weapon Skill changed, and Ashes of War can be applied to it.

While it has low requirements to wield it, this weapon will serve best when infused with Lightning, Fire, and Magic Affinities to boost its damage further, but it still falls short compared to other Twinblades. It can be found within a chest at the Dragon-Burnt Ruins by accessing its southeast entrance using Torrent and locating the cellar to find the chest to acquire the weapon.

Gargoyle's Black Blades

Gargoyle's Black Blades has a reasonably good Physical Attack damage base, but it's most notable for its high Holy damage stat when scaled with Dexterity, Strength, and Faith. Despite this, wielding this weapon in the late game will make it harder for players to inflict Holy damage due to the number of enemies and bosses resistant to Holy damage.

With its default Weapon Skill, Spinning Slash, which doesn't use both ends of the weapon upon attack, it's quite a lackluster Twinblade to wield as you cannot change its Weapon Skill nor attach an Ash of War to it. This weapon can be dropped by the Blade Blade Kindred boss at the Forbidden Lands south of the Grand Lift of Rold Site of Grace.

Twinned Knight Swords

Akin to the aforementioned Twinblade and Gargoyle's Black Blades, the Twinned Knight Swords also shares the default Weapon Skill, which cannot be changed; however, it is used with various Ashes of War. It also has the second highest base Physical Attack damage, which can further be increased when paired with multiple Talismans.

Like most Twinblades, the Twined Knight Swords utilizes its default Weapon Skill, Spinning Slash, which can be changed for a more powerful skill. (Picture: YouTube / Fextralife)

Like with most Talismans, it too can be located in the Altus Plateau region, not through enemy drops but by finding a corpse pile nearby the East Windmill Pasture. To reach this location, travel to the Road of Iniquity Side Path Site of Grace and head north to find the windmill.

Gargoyle's Twinblade

As the heaviest Twinblade available in Elden Ring, the Gargoyle's Twinblade scales with Strength and Dexterity and has the highest base Physical Attack damage. This is also the case when infused with multiple Affinities but has the default Weapon Skill, Spinning Slash, and can have Ashes of War applied.

However, it has the shortest range, meaning you'll need a close radius with enemies to inflict maximum damage. To gain this Twinblade, seek out the Valiant Gargoylebosses at the Siofra Aqueduct by traveling to the Great Waterfall Basin or Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs Sites of Grace.

Godskin Peeler

The Godskin Peeler is one of two Twinblades with a unique Weapon Skill and R2 (Strong Attack), which uses it's pointed or spiked end to attack enemies. It also has one of the best Physical Attack damage stats when the Occult and Keen affinities are applied with the Ashes of War.

With this in mind, it can be wielded with another Twinblade, Eleonora's Poleblade, in your off-hand to maximize Physical damage and gain the weapon's Bleed status effect, mainly if the Ash of War: Seppuku is applied to the Godskin Peeler. Unfortunately, you'll have to defeat the Godskin Apostle found at Dominula, Windmill Village in the Altus Plateau.

Eleonora's Poleblade

This Twinblade weapon stands out primarily due to its R2 (Strong Attack), which performs a rotational charged attack dealing Physical and Fire damage. Additionally, it inflicts Bleed damage for every hit and is one of the few Twinblades with a unique Weapon Skill, Bloodblade Dance.

This Weapon Skill lets you perform a flurry of attacks when launching into the air with a follow-up attack that ends with a backstep-like ability to avoid incoming damage. Like with the other Twinblades, you'll have to progress far in-game to reach Altus Plateau to find Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger at the Second Church of Marika, which can be accessed from the Altus Highway Junction or Sainted Hero's Grave Sites of Grace.
