Finding the Armorer's Cookbook in Elden Ring can be one of the best ways to catapult your item crafting repertoire.
Elden Ring Armorer's cookbook - How to get and recipes

One of the most important elements of Elden Ring is the ability to craft items. You gain this ability very early on in the game by talking to Kale the Merchant just north of the starting spawn. Go into his shop and purchase the Crafting Kit. Now you can craft items that you find recipes for out in the world.

Of course, in order to acquire new recipes, you need to find various kinds of Cookbooks. One of the most important sets of Elden Ring Cookbooks you can locate is called the Armorer's Cookbook. This gives you the ability to craft all kinds of fire-type items, such as arrows, grease and pots. There are several of these Cookbooks out in the Lands Between and you can discover where they are and how to acquire them down below.

In order to find your first Armorer's Cookbook, you will need to head to Limgrave. You can fast travel to the Agheel Lake North Site of Grace to make things easier.

From there, head northwest until you reach a clearing. There will be a pack of wolves in this area, which you can defeat without much trouble. A little further into the clearing, there will be a camp with some wolves and soldiers. Defeat them all and loot all of the bodies and items in the camp. One of these items will contain the Armorer's Cookbook (1).

This cookbook gives you the recipes for the following items:

  • Fire Grease
  • Drawstring Fire Grease
  • Fireproof Dried Liver

If you're looking for the next version of the cookbook, head to Coastal Cave on the far western side of Limgrave. This location is on the beach so you'll need to manoeuvre down the cliffs to get there. You can find it by looking at the Dragon Communion island off the coast and drawing an imaginary line directly east of that.

However, you won't be going into Coastal Cave. You want to head southeast from the location to find a Nomadic Merchant on the beach. He sells the (2) variant of the cookbook for 600 Runes. This unlocks the following items:

  • Firebone Arrow
  • Firebone Arrow (Fletched)
  • Firebone Bolt
  • Neutralizing Boluses

Beyond this, there are five more Armorer's Cookbooks to look out for. You can find some of them at different merchant's shops, so always see what they have to offer when you find one.

For example, the (3) version of the Cookbook is found through another Elden Ring merchant in East Limgrave. With every Cookbook you buy or find, the price will increase, so come prepared with Runes.
